DESCRIPTION:We look forward to our Oyster Roast every year\, getting to see all of you and your families\, listening to our own island band Edisto Gumbo and eating the best oysters around\, thanks to Jamie Westendorff.  But\, we have determined that just isn’t possible this year\, so we have canceled the in-person event.  However\, funds from this annual fundraiser are still needed to enable Edisto Island Open Land Trust to continue our efforts to preserve and protect this place we love. \nThis is where you can make a difference. We ask you to consider ’shelling out’ by making a donation to our virtual ’Shellabration’ campaign.   \nYour contribution in any amount will help more than you know.  Please use the enclosed envelope and  be a part of the effort to ensure we can keep Edisto . . . SUMMARY:Party on Your Porch Online Auction!\, Edisto Island Open Land Trust
DESCRIPTION:It is online\, and it is fabulous!\nWe  are thrilled to announce that the annual auction fundraiser will be held entirely online this year.  This year’s event has been innovatively modified as a Party on Your Porch Online Auction! \n \nThe Party on Your Porch is going to include three days of online bidding for amazing auction items\, combined with fun filled virtual evenings of porch parties on Edisto\, Charleston and beyond.  Prizes will be awarded each night for photos posted of the best dressed porch party\, the furthest porch party from Edisto and the most unique porch party.    The auction will take place starting Thursday evening\, June 18th and run through Saturday\, June 20th.   A preview of all the auction items will be available starting on June 4\, and the official bidding will begin at 5pm on June 18th. \nAuction items include handmade local works of art\, vacation homes on Edisto\, dinner and cocktail parties\, vacation trips to the Abacos and St. Thomas\, hunting and fishing excursions\, 23 year old Pappy Van Winkel’s Bourbon\, weekend stays in downtown Charleston\, a night with the Blue Dogs and more.  The Party on Your Porch will conclude on Saturday the 20th at 8pm with an eye popping special drawing live on Facebook!  The event raises critical funds for land conservation efforts on and around Edisto and education outreach programs for children and adults. \nThis year’s title sponsor is once again First Citizens Wealth Management\, with additional lead support from Green Finney\, Enterprise Bank of S.C.\, Edisto Kennels\, Jim Kempson of Carolina One\, and South State Bank. \nThe auction event site is Edisto.givesmart.com \nAll you will need to do is Register by desktop\, tablet or smartphone by texting Edisto to 76278.  Then bid on items via text or online\, and Buy your items when you win them!\nThe Give Smart event site is up and ready to preview.
