“We are Hiring” Join our Team!

POSITION: Donor Relations and Database Administrator

Reports To: Executive Director

Employment Status: Part-time intended to lead to Full-time
(estimated 20 – 40 hours per week)

Position Summary:
The Donor Relations and Database Administrator will primarily be responsible for managing the Blackbaud software product, e-Tapestry donor database in addition to helping coordinate donor engagement of the Edisto Island Open Land Trust. This person will work strategically with the Executive Director on all communication with donors to the land trust, assist in increasing support, help coordinate and manage fundraising events.

Major Responsibilities:
Data Management Program
– Data entry of all donations and management of the e-Tapestry donor database
– Process donor renewal letters and manage all mailings
– Generate weekly thank you letters and correspondence for all donations
– Generate queries and reports to analyze data from the donor database

Donor Relations
– Assist with general fundraising coordination
– Develop volunteer positions and recruit volunteers necessary for events
– Coordinate all event elements and details with the Executive Director
– Assist with marketing and public relations related to events
– Assist with event set-up, day of, and breakdown responsibilities

Other Dimensions:
Maintain positive and productive working relationships with all land trust donors, with a cross section of community stakeholders and organizations, and with other conservation groups.

Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in fund raising, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Experience: Prefer someone with experience with data entry in database software management.
Other Requirements: Excellent written and verbal skills. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Effective team behavior and strong interpersonal relationships. Experience working with computer-based membership and donor tracking systems. Computer and software skills must include use of Word, Excel, Constant Contact, and knowledge of the e-Tapestry database is helpful.

Hourly or salary rate will be dependent on experience and full time or part time employment.
