Conservation Easement

48.19 acres (0.7 acres marsh)

Funded by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program

This property links the state maintained lands of Botany Bay Plantation Wildlife Management Area to other conserved lands in the area, creating a corridor of wildlife habitat. Fronting Frampton Creek and just a stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean, this property provides superb habitat for many salt marsh dependent species. Heavily wooded portions of the land provide a diverse array of habitats for birds and mammals and makes up one half of the idyllic Live Oak corridor down Botany Bay Road.
