Preserve Property

1.63 acres

More than 250 years ago Wescott Road became part of the historic King’s Highway, the public road that was the main artery of transportation on Edisto Island. When state highway 174 was created, much of that historic roadway was buried beneath it. This heavily wooded property preserves one of the few remaining segments. Historic Wescott Road Preserve boasts an impressive Live Oak corridor down its west boundary.

Wescott Road is listed on the National Register of Historic Properties in 1986.
