Conservation Easement

184.39 acres (123.46 acres marsh)

Funded by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program

Peters Point Plantation is a historic working farm that has been owned by the same family for 300 years. The property includes open field, maritime forest and salt marsh habitats. Protection of the salt marsh along Store Creek provides a buffer that prevents pollution from entering the creek. The property’s size and location next to other conserved properties on both sides of Store Creek provides a significant wildlife corridor.
