Preserve Property

1.52 acres

Funded by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program

This small parcel on the corner of Small Springs Lane and the Edisto Island National Scenic Byway preserves a portion of an iconic live oak tunnel along the Scenic Byway, buffers a natural wetland system in the path of sea level rise, and is an important puzzle piece in EIOLT’s landscape-scale conservation effort to link Botany Bay Heritage Preserve to the ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuge, and the 30-mile long conservation corridor it sits within, through one continuous conservation corridor.
