Conservation Easement

122.7 acres (8.3 acres marsh)

Funded by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program

Once part of a historic Sea Island cotton plantation and now part of a working farm, a portion of this property has been planted in timber and the remainder is planted as a working farmland. Salt marsh habitat and wooded uplands provide food and shelter for diverse local wildlife. The property’s size and location next to other conserved properties provides a large area of unfragmented wildlife habitat.
