The Edisto Island Open Land Trust originally purchased this former family farm to prevent it from becoming a twelve-lot mobile home subdivision within the view of the Edisto Island National Scenic Byway. Now privately owned and protected by a conservation easement, this horse farm adds to the beauty of Scenic Highway 174 by maintaining the scenic roadside buffer.
