Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Black Vultures, and Wood Storks are regularly seen feeding in the marsh along Crisp Road. The presence of such birds, and the estuarine species that draw them to the property, highlights the importance of marshes to the entire Edisto Island ecosystem.
