Conservation Easement

149.31 acres (18.53 acres marsh)

Funded by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program

Frogmore Plantation boasts 110 acres of mixed upland forest. There are also 6 acres of freshwater ponds and wetlands that provide a critical breeding habitat to several species of reptiles and amphibians. Adjacent to Shingle Creek, conservation of this land keeps the vegetative buffer between the creek and potential sources of pollution intact. The property’s size and location next to other conserved properties provides a large area of unfragmented wildlife habitat.
