Preserve Property

3.076 acres

Funded by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program

Sandwiched between EIOLT’s Cedar Hall Farm and Keefe Farm conservation easements and EIOLT’s Keefe-Kinlaw Scenic Buffer, the Cedar Hall Scenic Buffer Preserve is a strategic conservation puzzle piece for EIOLT. Owning this small parcel preserves the last piece of the Live Oak tunnel on the viewshed of the Edisto Island National Scenic Byway, helps protect a natural wetland complex in the path of sea level rise, and safeguards the ecological integrity of the connectivity between all three surrounding conservation easements and the other scenic buffer across the Scenic Byway.
